About these plans
These plans follow the Grade 6 Pupil's Book printed from 2014 to 2019. A new Grade 6 book was introduced in 2026 with different units; if your class uses it, treat these as model lessons and match them to your own book.
Every plan on this page was written by RCF English. The unit and activity names refer to the government Pupil's Book so that you can find the right page; no textbook text is reproduced here. Download it as an editable Word document or a print-ready PDF.
The four stages, and the colour each one uses
| Stage | Time | What the teacher does |

| Presentation | 10 min | Shows the new language in a clear context. |
| Practice | 12 min | Pupils use it in controlled tasks, usually from the Pupil's Book. |
| Production | 13 min | Pupils use it more freely, for a purpose of their own. |
| Check and close | 5 min | A quick check of learning, then homework. |
