Grade 6-11 Resources

Interactive English practice for Grades 6 to 11. Each grade provides three interactive language activities and five complete listening tests, every one of them aligned with a numbered competency level from the syllabus that grade actually follows. Everything marks itself and explains the answer.

Where these activities come from

Every activity on these pages is built from the competency levels of the school syllabus, not from examination papers. Each one names the competency level it practises, so you can check it against your own term notes.

Note that Grades 6 and 7 are not following the same syllabus. Grade 6 has moved to the new 2026 syllabus, which is organised by skill — listening, speaking, reading, writing and literary appreciation — and is grouped around text types rather than grammar topics. Grades 7 to 11 remain on the earlier syllabus, built around eight competencies covering sounds, mechanics of writing, listening, vocabulary, reading, grammar, written communication and speaking.

This matters when comparing grades: the same number means different things on either side of that line. Competency level 5.4 in Grade 8 is not competency level 5.4 in Grade 6.

The listening tests are read aloud using the English voice your own device provides, so the voices may sound different on a computer and on a phone. The words and the questions are the same everywhere.
