What appears here, and what does not

A paper is published on this site only if RCF English created it, the copyright holder has given permission for it to be distributed, it has been personally approved for publication, or it can lawfully be linked from the official website that publishes it.

A paper is never published merely because a copy of it exists somewhere. This means the collection here grows more slowly than some others — deliberately. Read the Copyright and Resource Policy.

Every paper on this site sits in exactly one of the sections below, and choosing a section shows all of it — no title, province, term or subject has to be typed. Papers are listed newest year first, and any paper whose year is not printed on it appears under Year not specified rather than being left out.

What the “Clear scan” label means

Some papers carry a Clear scan label. It is given only after a person has opened the PDF and looked at the first page on screen, and seen that it is straight, sharp, complete, printed rather than handwritten, and carries no student name.

It is not awarded because the text copies out neatly. That test proved misleading: two Grade 10 papers read perfectly as text, yet one is visibly tilted and the other has Teacher Copy written across it by hand. Both are still in the collection, and neither carries the label.

Every other paper on the site is still worth using. It simply has not been through that check yet.

Two things are worth doing. First, check the official website of the body that set the paper — where a paper can be linked rather than copied, that link is what you will find here anyway.
