How each test works

  1. Before you listen

Most RCF English tests start with five useful words and their meanings. Press Hear it to hear how each one is said. The Pupil's Book activities name the unit and activity in your textbook.

  2. Choose how to listen

Practice lets you replay as often as you like, slow the speed down, and open the transcript if you are stuck. Formal test plays the passage twice only, as in an examination, and keeps the transcript back until you submit.

  3. Answer and submit

The test marks itself at once and explains every answer. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, and no sign-in is needed.

  4. Print it for class

Teachers can print any test as a worksheet for students, or with the answer key and transcript on a separate page.

Level 1 Foundation (Grades 6–7) · Level 2 Intermediate (8–9) · Level 3 Advanced (10–11)

Choose a test

Each test is read aloud by your own phone or computer. The accents on offer are the English voices your device has, so they differ from one device to another.
