Academic and Professional Background
Rohana Fernando is a graduate in English from the University of Peradeniya and holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya. He has also obtained a TESOL qualification from the University of Peradeniya, further strengthening his professional preparation in English-language teaching.
He is an Associate Member of the Colombo Association of Language Skills and Dramatic Art (CALSDA).
His academic grounding in English, advanced study in linguistics and professional training in TESOL complement the practical knowledge he has gained through several decades of work as a teacher and lecturer. This combination of academic scholarship and classroom experience informs his approach to teaching, educational-resource development and publishing.
