About these plans
One plan for each of the fourteen units. Stage times are for a 40-minute period. Link the writing tasks to the O/L paper formats as you go.

The four stages, and the colour each one uses
| Stage | Time | What the teacher does |

| Presentation | 10 min | Shows the new language in a clear context. |
| Practice | 12 min | Pupils use it in controlled tasks, usually from the Pupil's Book. |
| Production | 13 min | Pupils use it more freely, for a purpose of their own. |
| Check and close | 5 min | A quick check of learning, then homework. |
