What is in here

There are 12 short grammar games across five topics — about an hour of play in all — covering the same focuses as the Grade 6 grammar worksheets: common and proper nouns, is / are / was / were, a / an / the, and prepositions of place and time.

Everything is free, needs no account, and works on a phone. There is no advertising anywhere in the Game Zone.

Pupil's Book unit games for Grade 6 will be added when the 2026 book units are mapped. Until then, these practice games sit beside the skill activities on the Grade 6 English page.

What it practises

  • Sorting and drag-and-drop. Nouns into common or proper; phrases into place or time; a versus an by sound.
  • Missing-word gaps for is / are / was / were and for articles and prepositions — the same choices children meet on paper.
  • Sentence order puzzles, so a child builds the sentence rather than only recognising it.

Getting the most from it

Use one topic after the matching worksheet, or before a term test. Ten minutes of sorting nouns or rebuilding sentences is enough for one sitting; stars stay on the device so coming back tomorrow continues the same progress.

For reading a timetable, filling in a form, and the poem activities on the 2026 syllabus, open the Grade 6 practice page.
