What is in here
This page gathers every game in the Primary Game Zone, in one place, arranged so a teacher can find one quickly.
Everything is free, needs no account, and works on a phone. There is no advertising anywhere in the Game Zone.
What it practises
- Choose by grade or by theme. If today's lesson is about food, the food games from every grade are two taps away.
- Project it, or pass a phone round. The games are built for a phone screen, so they work on a classroom projector and on the one device in the room.
- No sound is needed. Every game can be played silently, which matters in a classroom of forty.
Getting the most from it
Use a game to start a lesson rather than to end it. Five minutes of a matching game on the words you are about to teach puts those words in front of the class before the lesson needs them - which is worth more than the same five minutes spent as a reward at the end.
